6/19/16   Alpine A460 (#36) won 1st place in class LMP2 and finished 5th overall (out of 60 cars) at the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans & as of 9/18/16 is still in 1st place for FIA Endurance Trophy for LMP2 Teams.

April 20, 2014 - (Still not officially confirmed by Renault) It appears that that the previously announced plans to have Caterham and Renault to jointly build the Alpine A110-50 are now off. Latest info indicates that Renault will take over the project. Launch date still set for 2016.

The Caterham Group, which includes the Caterham F1 Team, has relinquished its share in Société des Automobiles Alpine Caterham, with Renault increasing its stake to 100 per cent.
"This acquisition brings to an end to the partnership signed in November 2012 by Renault and Caterham Group to develop and manufacture sports cars through a joint venture, Société des Automobiles Alpine Caterham, owned 50/50 by the two partners," read a statement to the media.
As a result, Société des Automobiles Alpine Caterham will change its name to Société des Automobiles Alpine. The change will be made as part of a general meeting to be held this month.
"Renault will now continue to develop its own Alpine sports car to be launched in 2016, as initially planned. Caterham Group also plans to continue with its own sports car," the statement added.

In parallel to its successful motor racing programme, Alpine is continuing to work on the 21st century Berlinette which is due to reach the market in 2016.

On Friday 18 December 2015, Groupe Renault and Gravity Motorsport S.a.rl, an affiliate of Genii Capital SA, formally and successfully completed the acquisition by Groupe Renault of a controlling shareholding of Lotus F1 Team Limited. The new team name, full management structure, team partners and other details will be announced during an event to be held in Paris in February. In the interim, a new board of directors has been appointed, with Jérôme Stoll as Chairman and Cyril Abiteboul as Managing Director. Following the signing of a letter of intent by Groupe Renault and Gravity Motorsport S.a.rl on 28 September 2015, the parties entered into the various agreements on 3 December 2015. Since then, all parties involved have been working relentlessly to comply with all of the contractual and legal obligations under the agreements to enable the transaction to successfully complete. The technical teams are making good progress to have the 2016 car ready for testing in Barcelona at the end of February.
